Time to bring sexy back…?

Plus: How to show up intentionally

Hi there, FamilyMade fam! And happy International Women’s Day to all the strong, smart, incomparable women reading this. Each and every one of you are rockstars and we’re lucky to have you in our crew! 🌼

Ready to have some fun? Meet you at the bottom!

1   When’s the Right Time for a Cell Phone?

It’s a parenting question as old as cell phones themselves…when is the right time to add your kids to the family plan? When they start asking to be dropped off around the block to meet their friends? When they begin after-school sports? When they’ve outgrown the iPad?? Impossible to know!

This parenting creator (whose content we adore!) has an idea or two. Tori Phantom shares their family’s strategy for teaching kids about phone safety and responsibility…without being the bad guy who won’t let a 12-year-old have their own $700 iPhone. Genius!

 2   Don’t Just Show Up…

Show up intentionally. That’s the big lesson in this week’s stellar episode of FamilyMade Media’s Never TMI with our friends Jaclyn and Seth Gibson.

How you choose to be there for your friends, family, and partner matters so much—it’s at the very core of the way we connect to those we love most. Check out this week’s episode to hear about how the Gibsons do it!

3   Getting Your Sexy Back Post-Baby?

How many times have you Googled “is this normal” for your kids? We’d bet near daily. But finding the answers to questions about ourselves as parents and caretakers (and adults!) can be a little tougher.

For example…when do most couples get back to pre-pregnancy sex frequency after welcoming a baby? Professor Emily Oster, an economist and mom of two, has the answer. We (and by we, yes, we mean Andrew) love her Instagram for insightful answers to parenting and family questions Google might not be able to handle.

4   When You Have 12 Kids…What’s One More Baby?

Daniela Salinas

We imagine that’s what Nick Cannon, father of 12, is thinking right now! But his latest “baby” isn’t going to keep him up in quite the same way. Cannon announced he’s starring in a new show called “Who's Having My Baby." The show will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart and premiere this spring on E!.

We don’t know many details, but it appears to be a game-show style series featuring women who want to have Cannon’s lucky number 13. Watch the trailer for yourself and let us know what you think! Our first take? Anything with Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon is going to be a riot.

5   Calling All Ms. Rachel Fans…

…How are you holding up? The internet’s favorite babysitter/preschool teacher/entertainer said she’s taking a break from TikTok for her mental health. We support Ms. Rachel in doing whatever it takes to preserve her health and wellbeing. ☀️ Sending hugs!

And the good news? We still have Ms. Rachel’s impressive back catalog of toddler and baby learning videos on YouTube. She’s tallied 1.8 billion (!!) views on YouTube and I think our family was responsible for about 500,000 of them.

Thank you so much for reading! One more thing: We noticed that tons of you were super into last week’s best chocolate chip cookie recipe ranking (we get why!). So…may we make another recommendation from the internet’s vast collection of amazing recipes? This viral cinnamon roll hack will, and this is not an exaggeration, change your life. Take our word for it.

That’s all for today! Keep an eye out for next week’s edition—we have a very special surprise in store! See ya then 🙂
