Sneak Peak Into The East Family's Trip To Asia So Far ✈️🌏😍

We're sharing a glimpse of the East's epic family vacation PLUS, Tips for traveling with little ones, Shawn's favorite foods in Japan and more!

East Fam Vacation First Stop: Osaka, Japan 🇯🇵 🏯 😍

Shawn and Andrew have been bopping around Asia with their kids as part of this year’s epic summer vacation!

They’ve had some incredible days, some unexpected chaos, lots of amazing food and countless memories made, and it’s only the first stop!

East Family in Japan

“We try to spend each summer going on an adventure as a family. Some people think we’re crazy to travel abroad with our kids, and while it does have its fair share of struggles, it’s SO worth it! Last year we traveled to Paris for the 2024 Olympics and this year we’re doing Osaka, Dubai and Singapore! Stay tuned to hear about the memories (and chaos) of our summer adventures!”

We’re Sharing The Highs and Lows 😍 😓

👍 Highlight of the Trip So Far:

As awesome as the deer park in Japan was and the gardens in Singapore are, I honestly think the best part so far has been the late night plane rides and the taxi rides with the kids. The giggles and the cuddles and those moments of transition are unbeatable” - Andrew East

👎 Lowlight of the Trip:

“Jett apparently got bit by a brown recluse spider in Nashville, prior to us leaving for Japan. We had no idea so we were shocked to find a swollen lump on his arm when we arrived. It was pretty stressful but after numerous calls to our pediatrician, we were able to pick him up some steroid cream and it’s helped tremendously! You really can’t plan for these unexpected things on vacation and it’s never ideal but very grateful for doctors and happy he’s on the mend!” - Shawn Johnson East

Calling All Foodies Out There! 🍣 🍜 🍡

This Week’s Osaka Food Highlights are below! 😍

Shawn enjoys Japanese Wagyu steak skewers and Andrew tries Crab Sashimi - 10/10 rating

Drew and Jett waiting for their fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes - 11/10 rating- they LOVED this Japanese staple

Shawn falls in love with Japanese Ramen - 10/10!

Tips for Traveling Abroad With Little Ones ❤️

  1. Pack light, but smart: Bring essentials like snacks, wipes, meds, and comfort items (favorite toy, stuffed animals or blanket).

  2. Prepare documents: Have passports, visas, and any medical info ready and easily accessible at all times.

  3. Use a baby carrier if possible rather than a stroller: Airports and sightseeing are easier with hands free!

  4. Bring entertainment: Small toys, coloring books, or downloaded shows help with long flights and waits at restaurants.

  5. Stick to a routine: Try to keep nap and meal times close to normal, even in a different time zone. (This one can be tough- give yourself grace!)

  6. Book kid-friendly stays: Look for places with kitchens, laundry, and space for kids to run around and play.

  7. Set Up the Day for Success: Prepare your kids by explaining what to expect each day—flights, new food, new places, people, etc.

Splurge on your trip, not your travel wardrobe

Quince believes that quality should never be a luxury, with premium apparel, accessories, and luggage all priced at 50-80% less than competitors.
