“We’re celebrating women now more than ever and telling them they can be super ambitious in the workplace, which is incredible! At the same time, I feel like we aren’t honoring and supporting them when they also want to become a mother. I think there’s such a high increase in postpartum anxiety and depression because women don’t feel like they have the support they need once they bring a baby into this world. I think we’re missing the mark on how to best support mothers and wives while also allowing them to be ambitious in the workplace if they choose that!”
Andrew’s take on Marriage:
“In every single moment, marriage doesn’t always FEEL easy and fulfilling. In the middle of an argument, it feels hard and even hurtful at times. BUT later down the road I always see the conversation for what it is and I’m like, “Wow I’m honestly so glad Shawn loved me enough to call me out on this!” We want to make sure we’re pulling back the curtain on real-life marriage stuff so you know you aren’t alone if your relationship doesn’t feel really easy all the time. It’s a daily choice to stay committed to each other and such a beautiful, refining thing.”
