We’ve got good news ❤️

Who’s cutting onions in here?

Happy Friday! And emphasis on the happy. The “longest” month of the year is winding down. Sunsets are getting later and later. The stories you’re about to read gave me chills. The good vibes are impossible to ignore!

Today’s edition is all about good news from you, our fantastic FM readers. Thank you for sharing your miracles, gratitude, and kind words with us! Now let’s celebrate 🎉

P.S. For those asking, the winners of Shawn and Andrew’s holiday giveaway have been chosen. We appreciate all of the heartfelt responses we received!

Your good news:

I wanted to share with you how our village stepped up to support my husband and me when our first daughter was born in October. We both work full time, and our plan when our daughter was born was for her to enter daycare and for us both to continue working after family leave. We have been on waitlists for daycare centers (still are, actually) but there weren’t any openings.

We had not one, not two, but THREE of our friends who are stay-at-home moms offer to watch our daughter, free of charge, so that we could return to work as scheduled. We are now looking for part-time opportunities for me to be able to stay home with her, but it was a HUGE blessing to not be out of work because of the lack of available childcare!

Our response: Congratulations to you on your baby girl! We adore stories of friends, family, and neighbors coming together to help each other. We celebrate generous villages of all shapes and sizes!

Your good news: In October, my 12-year-old grandson was diagnosed with stage 2b Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He's currently in the middle of his third of five rounds of chemo, and he has almost completely kicked cancer’s a**!

—Tina

Our response: What incredible news. We are rooting for your grandson and think he’s pretty strong and special. Keep fighting!

Your good news: Two years ago, we were terrified after a 20-week ultrasound. The doctors told us they found a CPam mass on her lungs and said this could lead to several different (and difficult) scenarios. I would Google constantly and pray for a miracle to happen. But praise the Lord—baby made it to full term. They induced me at 40 weeks, and she was born perfectly healthy!

—Tanya

Our response: From a mama who’s had uncertainty in her pregnancy, I understand how stressful it is to worry about your baby. We are so happy to hear everything worked out and you have a happy, healthy little one!

Keep those good news stories coming. We love hearing them and we plan to keep the good vibes flowing all year long.

Good News Network. Gotta love the GNN, coming to you 24/7 with stories to make you smile. This one features a 101-year-old woman who swears by daily dancing for optimal health. 💃

Rise and shine. I’ve heard that waking up to music is a great way to ease into the day. Tiptoe the Turtle clearly agrees. Check out his morning routine.

I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly. I’m always fascinated learning about different parenting styles, and this is a new one. Jellyfish parenting is the opposite of helicopter parenting…as in, the kids shape the family dynamics. What do you think?

My good news? I’m off to my first real destination trip in years and let’s just say, I plan on needing my sunglasses. 😎

There’s much to be grateful for. Our villages, our blessings, our health and happiness. We at FamilyMade are grateful to have you in our awesome community. Savor every beautiful moment and we’ll see you back here on Monday!
